Simple Present Tense (Action Verbs)
The Simple Present Tense is used to express two concepts when it is formed with action verbs,
they are: General Information and Habits

AFFIRMATIVE NEGATIVE INTERROGATIVE
I play I don’t play Do I play?

The difference between a sentence with the concept of
the concept
auxiliary and the verb is used in its
use the auxiliary Do, and the verb is in its
general information and one withhabits is a time expression. As you can see in affirmative there’s nopresent form, but in negative and interrogative wesimple form.
It’s also important to notice that with the third person we add a final “s” to the verb in
affirmative, and the auxiliary changes to doesn’t in negative and to Does in
